In September, we introduced several new features and updates that will help you streamline workflows, bolster security, and improve your productivity. Let's dive into the details!
- NEW! Access Workflows in Slack: Users can request access to resources and approvers can approve requests all via Slack. With the StrongDM Slack app, you get real-time notifications and productivity wins through frictionless and secure access to all of your critical infrastructure.
- NEW! Auditor Permission Level: With this new permission level, an Auditor has full read-only access to the entire organization. Auditors can see all settings, roles, users, and more but they cannot create, modify, or delete any items. Enable auditors to meet attestation requirements with the exact access permissions they need. Permission level documentation.
- Resource Lock for RDP: With Resource Lock, you can ensure that any given resource can only be accessed by one StrongDM user or service account at a time. Having one active session at a time means your teams can maintain security, and prevent session conflicts. Resource Lock Documentation
Additional Updates
- Managed Identity for Azure PostgreSQL: Connect to Azure PostgreSQL using an Azure managed identity instead of a credential.
- SDK Support for Workflow Management: Added support to the Go, Java, Python, and Ruby SDKs for managing workflows. Using the SDKs, admins can now create, update, list, receive and delete workflows.
- Terraform Support for Workflow Management: Automate Workflow management through the Terraform provider
- Activity Logs: Latest activity log updates enable admins to surface the user agent for actions taken through the Admin UI.
